The Lake Phuket Elephant Home is a sanctuary

dedicated to rescuing domestic elephants from

harsh labor conditions and providing them with a safe, loving environment.

Our mission is to make a difference by educating

visitors about elephant care, welfare, and the

importance of ethical tourism. At our sanctuary, elephants can live freely and happily, away from

the hardships they once faced. We offer ethical tours where guests can observe and learn about these gentle giants in a respectful and responsible

way, fostering a deeper understanding of their

natural behaviors and needs. Our home is not just

a place for elephants-it is a place of compassion,

learning and meaningful change.

We had a lovely time at the Lake Phuket visiting with the elephants! While we got to feed and bathe the elephants, we understand they are planning to phase this out eventually as the elephants become more independent and less reliant on human company. We only saw gentle and loving handling of the elephants there who seemed playful and content! Huge thanks to Vanz for all the accommodations and help with arranging our last minute visit, and to Todd for being a wonderful guide and sharing really cool elephant facts with us and our kids! He even gave us these beautiful self drawn postcards that we treasure very much!

Me and my Mum visited on the 19th of September and had the best day! Our tour included feeding the elephants, walking with the elephants and bathing the elephants, as well as a cooking class and lunch. The elephants are so well cared for and are so relaxed, which is so lovely to see given their history… I 100% recommend this activity to those who want to spend the day with rescue elephants in a natural environment A big shoutout to our tour guide U who made the day even better, from his knowledge on the elephants , to taking photos and telling us great stories! Greetings from Spain, Carly and Rose :)
