The Lake Phuket Elephant Home is a sanctuary
dedicated to rescuing domestic elephants from
harsh labor conditions and providing them with a safe, loving environment.
Our mission is to make a difference by educating
visitors about elephant care, welfare, and the
importance of ethical tourism. At our sanctuary, elephants can live freely and happily, away from
the hardships they once faced. We offer ethical tours where guests can observe and learn about these gentle giants in a respectful and responsible
way, fostering a deeper understanding of their
natural behaviors and needs. Our home is not just
a place for elephants-it is a place of compassion,
learning and meaningful change.

As an animal rescuer. Working with charities.. highly concerned to hear about needles used to train elephants at your sanctuary. Previous incidents at your centre.. people told me dont go.. we are making videos of ethical Elephant rescue centre.. that are good .. most tourist go blind eyed to these centres and leave their brain at home.. after hearing negative comments.. I sadly cancelled. Important my audience sees good rescue practice Sorry I am so sad

I truly enjoyed my time here. We had an amazing time, the elephants were so cool, and are living a peaceful life here, no harm, no riding, no shows. We fed them and got to see them in the natural setting.

Fabulous time at this elephant sanctuary. Started by us chopping the sugar cane ready to feed the elephants. Fed them then went for a walk through the forest with them , watched whilst the little one had a mud bath was so cute. Then we went into the lake with them and washed them it was brilliant. ( take your swimming costume) They showed us how to make a papya salad to go with a lovely huge Thai meal. Really recommend this ethical sanctuary.
